Creating a User Account
Simple account creation
Users can create an account by using their existing google or facebook account. This is the fastest way to create an account and login.
MyPain doesn’t store any facebook or google details, apart from the users name, email address and the fact a social media login is being used. Users need to use the same login every time. If someone has logged in using their social media or google profile and they try to use another method to login, they will be unable to.
Selecting who your are and assigning your modules
There are two choices after login when first using the MyPain app. You are asked whether you are a person in pain or a healthcare professional. This is the stage in which your role within the MyPain app is determined.
The modules can be selected by the user (A Person in Pain), who selects a healthcare professional to help and guide them through the programme.
Conversely, healthcare professionals can send an invite to a person with chronic pain and select the appropriate modules and patient reported outcome measure and experience forms.
Using the dashboard and tools
Good quality pain management requires a skilled use of different tools at different times and situations. Healthcare professionals help people with chronic pain develop the most effective combination of tools in order for them to manage their pain effectively.
For Users and Healthcare Professionals
Forms
The MyPain app contains outcome questionnaires validated for chronic pain that record quantitative data and generate reports for monitoring treatment response and audit.
My Story
This unique feature enables a user to build a visual diary of their lived experiences, which can be shared with healthcare professionals for expert help if needed. Users can upload pictures or links to videos from websites like Youtube ,Vimeo or Wistia that allow private and public video uploads and sharing.
We always recommend keeping your videos and links private and deleting it as soon as possible. Only users and their healthcare professional team are able to see the shared content.
