Dr Rahul Seewal

MBBS MD FRCA FFPMRCA

Rahul is a Director and Co-founder of MyPain. He is a Consultant in Anaesthesia & Pain Medicine at The Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Kent & Canterbury NHS Hospitals.

After completing a Doctorate in Medicine, he trained in Anaesthesia and Pain at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, University College London Hospitals, The Royal Free Hospital, The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Kings College Hospital and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He has over 20 years experience as a doctor and over 12 years experience in pain medicine. His area of expertise is helping people manage their back pain, neck pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, abdominal pain and any other chronic pain syndromes.

Stephen Ward

RN BSc (Hons) MSc Pain

Stephen is a Director and Co-founder of MyPain. He graduated from London Southbank University in 2000 as a Registered General Nurse and completed his Masters degree in Pain Management from Leicester University in 2012. He has over 13 years experience in Pain Medicine and has worked at a variety of London NHS Hospitals including Queen’s Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Barts Health. He has experience of leadership within the NHS having been responsible for organising and developing pain management services and research. He has been recognised and awarded for his research work. He has a keen interest in technology integration into healthcare, specifically technology used to manage chronic pain. Stephen now works within a commercial role alongside his role as director and co-founder of MyPain.

Dr Helen Clare Daniell

BSc, D Clin Psy

Clare is a consultant clinical psychologist and Trust Lead of Psychological Services at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. Claire qualified as a nurse at Guy’s Hospital, before graduating in psychology from Reading University, followed by a doctorate in clinical psychology from Canterbury. She holds a diploma in cognitive therapy from Oxford University and is a practitioner of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy as well. Her main area of expertise is pain. She has previously worked in women’s health, audiology, and HIV and AIDS. Her research portfolio includes the psychological and physical impact of neuropathic pain, which was completed at Imperial College London. She has published textbooks on psychological interventions for joint hypermobility syndrome, acute pain, neuropathic pain and the management of back pain. She has presented on several national and international conferences on this subject.
